Tote-to keep small items organized on the go or at your favorite sewing spot! 9:30 am - Rm H Ribbon Embroidery Scissor Case - Pat Hammeke Eye catching embroidery that works up fast! It's based on traditional basic stitches, and gives a lot of pizzazz for your time and effort! Your embroidery scissors will love resting in this cute little case! 11:00 am - Rm M Miniature Landscapes - Linda Aldrich These little cuties are quick and easy to make, no templates and no fuss. A little free-form rotary cutting and top-stitched edges make this 5 x 7" art quilt. We'll show you how to mount to a 5 x 7" easel picture frame. This project would make great gifts, and you can make different sizes to display on your easel. 11:00 am - Rm H Japanese Sashiko - Priscilla Golz You will learn a short history of Sashiko needlework and how to transfer a design onto fabric. We will be embroidering a holiday or traditional small envelope purse using a traditional Sashiko needle. After the Sashiko is completed, we will put the purses together and they will be ready to embellish and use. 12:30 pm - Rm M Can't See the Forest for the Trees - Teri Sherburne Have you been "PINE-ing" to learn paper piecing? This cute little wallhanging is just the project for a beginner…or for those of you who know how to paper piece and just want to have a good time. You will learn the step-by-step process in this one hour class. We will provide everything you need-a kit to get you started, lots of tips, techniques and information. AND tons of fun! 12:30 pm - Rm H Coasting Along - Lyn Steinmetz A little time, some fabric scraps, and Pieceful Patches' What the Hex will allow you to create a set of four whimsical flower shaped coasters for your coffee or tea cups. Learn the twist on English Paper Piecing in this class-who doesn't love iron-ons! Once you learn the technique you'll think of lots of ways to use it. 2:00 pm - Rm M Courthouse Steps - Pat Hammeke This is a paper foundation technique with all the precision and speed but not the stitching through foundation paper! No need to tear out the paper foundation! This technique can be used for most "paper pieced" patterns once you learn how to do it. 2:00 pm - Rm H Spring Flower Embroidery - Kari Bender Burke This embroidered piece is the third in the series designed especially for the Treasures of Tomorrow Quilt Show! You'll learn basic embroidery stitches and pointers for perfection. These brightly colored flowers of spring can be finished into a pillow or wall hanging. |
